Robins FC is proud to support CALM as our adopted charity

Robins FC are proud to announce we have decided to link up with local charity CALM as our adopted charityand raise money for them during the course of the season, in addition to our own fundraising efforts for the club itself. One of the values we have at Robins FC is to help develop the children we coach, not just in the skills they need to play football, but also in wider personal and social skills of building confidence, teamwork and leadership. As part of this work, we also believe it’s right that members of the club recognise and support others in the community who may be less fortunate than ourselves.

CALM is the Children's Cancer & Leukaemia Movement who, since 1984, have been supporting families in the Swindon area who have (or had) a child with either cancer or leukaemia. Full details of the great work CALM do can be found on their website www.calmcharity.org and also on their facebook page.

More details of the events we plan to run as a club and as individual teams will be available in due course, but we're aiming to get all the players and parents involved, in order to make these events a great success for the benefit of CALM and the families they support. And for the benefit of our young players, in realising their value in the community they are part of - watch this space!
